Cognitive and Psychometric Testing

ADHD Assessment for Children and Adults

At Our Place Psychology, we provide affordable ADHD assessment for children aged 6 and older, which includes comprehensive cognitive testing. Our services feature the WISC (Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children) and the WIAT (Wechsler Individual Achievement Test), both of which are essential components of our psychometric testing.

ADHD Assessment for Children and Adults

We are now offering comprehensive ADHD assessments for children ages six and above. These assessments include structured cognitive testing to evaluate a child's cognitive strengths and weaknesses, detailed information gathered from parents and teachers, and time spent observing the child in various scenarios. A school observation can be included if there are concerns about a child's academic achievement.

Currently, we offer these thorough psychometric testing assessments for $800, which includes:

- One interview with the primary caregiver

- WISC-V (a structured test of cognitive ability assessing strengths and weaknesses)

- Conners 4, an assessment of the severity of ADHD symptoms based on self-report, adult, and teacher observations

- One school observation

Other Academic and Cognitive Assessment

At Our Place Psychology, we also offer assessment for:

Giftedness in Children

Cognitive Delays or Intellectual Disability

Other concerns about academic achievement

Our comprehensive cognitive assessments, including the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC) and the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test (WIAT), serve as invaluable tools in cognitive testing designed to provide a nuanced understanding of a child's cognitive strengths and academic abilities. The WISC assesses key cognitive domains like verbal comprehension, perceptual reasoning, working memory, and processing speed, offering insights that aid in tailoring effective educational strategies. Meanwhile, the WIAT focuses on academic skills such as reading, writing, and mathematics. These psychometric testing methods are not about labeling; rather, they serve as guides to identify potential areas for support, whether it be addressing learning difficulties, recognizing giftedness, or pinpointing specific strengths. At Our Place Psychology, we believe in empowering parents and educators with the knowledge to create a supportive environment for every child's unique journey. Additionally, we provide ADHD assessment for children to further assist in understanding their needs. If you have any questions or would like to explore how our assessments can benefit your child, we invite you to reach out and start a conversation with us.
